At Lease Law, we believe in giving back to the community. We proudly support Demelza, a charity that holds a special place in our hearts.
About Demelza: Care in Action
Demelza is a charity dedicated to providing personalised, care for children and young people with serious or life-limiting conditions, as well as their families. Operating across Kent, South East London, and East Sussex, Demelza creates an environment where families can find understanding, positivity, and support during their most challenging times.
Why Demelza Matters to Us
As a Kent-based firm, we are deeply connected to our local community and are committed to supporting causes that make a meaningful difference here at home. Demelza’s mission to bring joy, care, and comfort to families aligns perfectly with our values as a family-oriented organisation.
Children are at the heart of Demelza’s mission, and they’re also at the heart of our firm. Many of our team members have children of their own, and we know first-hand how precious they are.
At Lease Law, we believe that strong communities are built on compassion and care. Demelza embodies these values, and it’s an honour to support a charity that reflects the principles we hold dear.
How we support Demelza
At the conclusion of a client matter there may be a small balance left in our client account which is owed back to the client which most often arise from minor adjustments to disbursements or apportionments to the date of completion. Where there is a balance of less than £10 due back to the client, the client can give us permission to transfer this small balance to a charity ledger rather than sending the balance back to them which we then transfer onwards to Demelza once we have a sufficient amount on the charity ledger.
